The Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Advanced Counselling is conducted by Joint Admission Board (JAB). JoSAA conducted a common counselling for the JEE. JoSAA comprised of both, CSAB and JAB.

One need to register and state their preference online, from the official portal. However, once the seat was allocated candidates were required to report physically for the confirmation of the seat.

Total three rounds of seat allocation were held, for admission into IITs and ISM. However, for admission into NITs + system total five rounds, including CSAB special counselling round, of seat allocation were held.

JEE Advanced Counselling Procedure

The counselling of JEE Advanced is held in online mode.

One needs to register and state the options for college and the course.

Once the choice filling will end, seat allocation result is displayed.

One who is allocated seat in it needs to accept it, within the due duration.

When the deadline to claim the allocated seat will lapse, seat matrix for filled and vacant seat is released for one seeking admission in next round of counselling.

In all, three rounds of JEE advanced counselling are held.

However, the fourth round of counselling is also held but only for the admission into NITs, IIITs and Other GFTIs, i.e via JEE Main score.

JEE Advanced Counselling: Documents Required for Verification

Candidates must carry one set of Attested Photocopies, of these documents, along the original copy. Documents required for verification during JEE Advanced counselling are as below:

• Print out of course allotment letter
• Admit Card of JEE Advanced
• Medical Certificate
• Print out of Application Form
• Certificates of class X and XII
• Certificate of Birth
• Certificate of Category (SC/ST/PwD/OBC)
• Attested copy of Passport or any other equivalent Identity Proof
• DD of Rs. 60000/-
• For SC/ST DD is to be made of Rs. 20000/-
