Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering(GATE) is conducted jointly by IISc and 7 IITs on behalf of the National Co-ordination Board, Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India.

Eligibility:-
According to the rules a candidate must pass GATE exams and the basic criteria for this is
1. Bachelor's degree in Engineering/Technology/Architecture from educational Institutions approved by AICTE/Government
2. Master's degree in Chemistry / Life Science / Mathematics / Physics / related subjects from educational Institutions approved by UGC/ Government
3. Degrees obtained through Distance Education/Correspondence Mode for the qualifying.
