CPT (Common Proficiency Test)

This is the entry level i.e. Lowest/First level at which a student can start pursuing the Chartered Accountancy (professional accounting) course.

CA- CPT:

This is the identification for the second level of the CA (Chartered Accountancy) course conducted by the ICAI (Institute of Chartered Accountants of India). The course is identified as IPCC (Integrated Professional Competence Course) and the examination at the end of the course is identified as IPCE (Integrated Professional Competence Examination)

This is the second level for all students taking up the chartered accountancy course after getting through the CA CPT (Chartered Accountancy Common Proficiency Test).

The course duration time is 6 months.
The CPT exam consists of 200 marks out of you must get the 100 marks for pass.

The subjects in CPT are:
1.Economics.
2.Accounts.
3.Law
4.Finance from each subject you will get 50 marks.

CA Course track:

CPT ( 06 Month )
IPCC ( 09 Month )
After IPCC practical training of 3 year
Final Exam
Total Duration for completing CA 4 year 6 month.

CPT – Passing Criteria:

You have to obtain minimum 100 marks i.e. 50% of total Marks(200) for passing CPT
No Subject wise linkage for passing CPT
Negative marking of 0.25 Marks for every incorrect answer
Blank answer will fetch Zero marks


CPT Registration Procedure:

Last Date: 60 days before the first day of the month in which exam takes plac
31st March for June attempt
30th September for December attempt
