Exam type: Objective cum descriptive type
Total Marks: 225 marks
Subjects Included: Part 1 (50 marks each) Hindi/ English language, General Intelligence, Numerical Aptitude, Clerical Aptitude & Part 2- Essay & Letter Writing of 25 marks
Total Time: 2:30 Hours
Cut off marks For Part I: 40% (80 marks) for General, 35% (70 marks) for SC/ST/OBC


CRPF Head Constable Exam Syllabus

For Part 1 of the exam,

Hindi/English language: From grammar section- noun, verb, preposition, articles, proverbs, idioms, subject verb agreement, adverb, adjective, synonyms, antonyms, meanings etc. The basic comprehension skills will be tested for the candidates.

General Intelligence: The questions will be asked from- Missing pattern, odd man series, Problem solving, relationship concepts, venn diagrams, coding & decoding, statements & conclusions. The questions from reasoning will be asked along with some current affairs.

Numerical Aptitude: Number system, Ratio & proportions, Mensuration, Compound & Simple interest, Time & Distance, Discount, Loss & Profit, Probability, Permutation & Combination, Simplification, Fractions, Decimals, Tables & graphs, Percentage

Clerical Aptitude: Perceptual accuracy & aptitude, about office routine work like filing, abbreviating, indexing, basics of the job

In Part 2, Essay writing (15 marks) in 150 words in Hindi/ English & Letter writing (10 marks) in 100 words in Hindi/ English. The marks will be equally divided based on Content, Relevancy and Accuracy in both.
