CSP Exam Application No Forgot – What to do

I have forgotten my application number for Civil Services Prelims (CSP) Examination and also haven’t received admit card for same, so please tell me what to do???

Well application number is the only way to check your form's status and download duplicate admit card of Civil Services Prelims (CSP) Examination

As you forgot it then you don’t have any options except waiting. Just wait for acknowledgement & admit card.

If you will receive your Acknowledgement Card then you will sure get your admit card.

Apart from this you can also contact to the UPSC information desk on the following numbers 011-23098543/23385271/23381125 and get a solution for your problem. The phone lines are working from 10 am to 5 pm on all working days.

CSP Exam paper

1. If an object places stress of 50 pounds/square inch on a 10 square inch surface, what is the resulting force?

a. 2224 newtons
b. 500 newtons
c. 5 newtons
d. 60 newtons

2. When determining the safe load on a floor, live loads indicate?

a. The weight of the building and its components
b. Loads placed on the floor
c. Floor load value in a building code handbook
d. Load that one joist can bear

3. You are using a Variable Incidence Tribometer to test the slipperiness of wet floors. Which floor is the most slip resistant?

a. The floor that returns a criterion of .5
b. The floor that returns a criterion of .7
c. The floor that returns a criterion of .45
d. The floor that returns a criterion of .3

4. How tall should a guardrail be in order to protect the greatest number of people from falling?

a. 45 inches
b. 36 inches
c. 48 inches
d. 42 inches

5. OSHA requires safety belt and lanyard hardware used in fall arresting equipment withstand a tensile load of how much?

a. 5400 pounds
b. 5000 pounds
c. 4000 pounds
d. 4500 pounds
Answer Key

1. A: The formula for calculating force is F=sA, where s is stress (force per unit area) and A is the area over which the force acts. In order to calculate the force, you must convert the stress from pounds/square inch to newtons/square meter and the area from square inches to square meter.

2. B: Live loads are the loads placed on a floor. Live loads will vary in different types of buildings, such as office buildings versus parking lots.

3. B: With the Variable Incidence Tribometer, floors measuring higher than .5 are considered slip-resistant, while those measuring lower than .5 are not slip-resistant.

4. D: A guardrail should be at least 42 inches from a floor in order to protect the greatest number of people. OSHA requires a 42 inch height for guardrails.

5. C: Safety belt and lanyard hardware used in fall arresting equipment must withstand a tensile load of 4000 pounds. Anchors and lifelines must withstand a load of 5400 pounds.
