Re: CTA Exam Fees

The Chartered Institute of Taxation (CIOT) is delighted that you are considering studying for the highest level tax qualification in the UK, the Chartered Tax Adviser (CTA) qualification.

CTA fees-

It is currently £155 to register as a CTA student and £50 for Confirmation of Eligibility

The CTA examination entry fee is £140 for the May and November 2016 examinations.

It is £140 to claim a credit for one of the CTA papers.

The Taxation of Major Corporates examination fee is £170.

The Professional Responsibilities & Ethics fee and Law fee is £80 per test.

You will need to purchase the ‘Essential Law for the Tax Practitioner’ and the 'Professional Responsibilities and Ethics for Tax Practitioners - Second Edition' manuals both of which are available from the Institute at a cost of £45.

There is the Essential Accounting for Tax Practitioners – First Edition' manual that forms the syllabus for the "Accounting and Other Indirect Taxes" module within the Awareness paper. This is also a compulsory module for all those sitting the Indirect Tax route of the CTA and is also available to purchase from the Institute at a cost of £35.

The Institute sets the syllabus but does not offer tuition.

Forthcoming Examinations deadlines-

Tuesday 1 and Wednesday 2 November 2016
Wednesday 3 and Thursday 4 May 2017
Tuesday 7 and Wednesday 8 November 2017
