Dr. C.V. Raman University provides doctorate programs in various disciplines at developing the student’s research insight and teaching abilities in their field of specialization. The Master of Philosophy is a special program aimed at developing the student’s research acumen and teaching abilities. It confers official standing as a certified doctoral candidate. Disciplines offering M.Phill Program with Eligibility Requirement are: Information Technology M. Sc.(IT) / M. Sc.(CS) / MCA / M.Tech. Computer Science M. Sc.(IT) / M. Sc.(CS) / MCA Commerce M. Com. Mathematics M. Sc. in Mathematics / M.A Mathematics Chemistry M. Sc. in Chemistry Physics M. Sc. in Physics Education M. Ed. / M.A. (Education) Library & Information Science M. Lib. Zoology M. Sc. in Zoology Microbiology M. Sc. in Microbiology Botany M. Sc. in Botany Admission One is admitted to M.Phil. Program provided possesses the minimum eligibility and also qualifies for the program as per the merit list prepared on the basis of Combined Entrance Test (CET) conducted by the University as per rules. Eligibility Master Degree in relevant subject with minimum 55% marks (50% marks in case of SC/ST/OBC candidates). Seats The basic unit will be that of 20 seats and multiples of the unit can also be set up. Duration of Course The duration is 1 year (3 semesters i.e. 1st semester - course work, 2nd and 3rd semester - dissertation work). Maximum time duration for completion of the program is 3 years. Fees The fee is fixed by the University time to time, subject to any direction from the Government of Chhattisgarh/UGC thereon. Attendance One appearing as regular students for any semester examination is required to have attendance at least 75% provided that a short fall in attendance up to 5% can be condoned by the Vice-Chancellor of University for satisfactory reasons. |
