CPT commonly known as Common Proficiency Test is the entrance exam for one of the most reputed courses in the Country- CA (Chartered Accountant). The exam is held twice every year in the months of June and December wherein students can register after class X and give the exam after class XII.
It is an objective type examination that consists of 200 multiple choice questions from four sections, viz. Accounting, Mercantile Law, Economics and Quantitative Aptitude. To qualify the exam a candidate has to score 30% in all the sections and 50% aggregate.

CA CPT Eligibility
-Candidates, who have passed Standard X examination or equivalent, can join CPT after registration with the Board of Studies and can appear in the exam after appearing for Standard XII.
-Students, who have passed B.Com, M.Com, LLB, ICWA, CS or MBA at the first attempt, are also eligible to apply for the exam.
-Those students, who have appeared or are appearing in final year of the qualifying examination, are also eligible to apply for the exam.
The result of the CA-CPT December 2015 was declared on 17th Jan 2016
