When admission will start for Delhi University (DU) Undergraduate courses? Please tell me about it because I want to do B Tech in civil engineering from Delhi University so please provide me information regarding this topic? The University of Delhi informally known as Delhi University is a public central collegiate university, located in New Delhi, India . Delhi University Undergraduate Admission dates: Online Registration from last week of May 2017 to second June 2017 Issue & Receipt of Registration Forms at the Registration centers first week of June 2017 to third week of June 2017 Notification of admission list by Colleges last week of June 2017 Admission and Payment of Fees last week of June 2017 Last date for admission in UG courses second week of August 2017 Eligibility for UG degree: Candidates have to qualify their Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination (Class XII) of the Central Board of Secondary Education or an examination recognized as equivalent thereto. Candidates have to pass the qualifying examination obtaining minimum marks as specified for each of the courses. It must be noted that University of Delhi admission process for UG programmes is done based on the marks of the candidates in 12th or equivalent qualifying examination, except 14 UG courses. There’s no entrance test for admission to undergraduate programmes at the affiliated colleges of the University of Delhi. For DU admission to most UG programmes, the 'Best of four' subject marks in the qualifying exam are considered for preparing the merit list and further offer the merit based admissions. To calculate the best of four, the following subjects will be taken into account: One language (Core/Elective/Functional) One subject (For which candidate wishes to apply) Any two academic subjects The best of four means the marks of those subjects (where one has scored the highest out of the all subjects) will be included for offering admission to DU courses from the qualifying exam as per the subject options available. The subjects offered by the University of Delhi admission may differ from what one wish to apply for. However, the language subject will remain constant. BA. (Hons.) English Eligibility Criteria (Merit-based Admission to courses in Arts/Social Sciences) An aggregate of 45% marks in the qualifying examination. The merit is determined on the basis of one language and three best academic/elective subjects. One must have studied and passed English in the qualifying exam and should include English for calculation of ‘Best Four’ percentage. DU Admission Process University of Delhi admission for most of the DU undergraduate programmes takes place based on the merit of class 12th or equivalent qualifying exam, except 14 UG programmes. Thus, DU admission via the merit based mode involves the following stages. Online Registration Check the college and course cut-offs Select colleges and course Verification of documents at colleges Approval of admission by the college Online payment of admission fee |
