The eligibility required for admission in BDS in India as your friend wants to take admission in it is as follows:

Bachelor of Dental Surgery Eligibility

Dental School Requirements include H.S.C. (10+2) with English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology with at least 50% marks.

Scheduled caste and Scheduled Tribe students shall be given relaxation of 10% in the aggregate marks required for eligibility.

Indian Nationals of 17 years of age on December 31 of the years of admission.

Candidates should be medically fit.

Admission to graduate courses in dentistry is through a general, nationwide competitive examination.

Entrance Examinations are conducted in major cities all over India.

The All India Pre-Medical/Pre-Dental Entrance Exam conducted by the CBSE is common for both the M.B.B.S. and the Bachelor of Dental Sciences (BDS). The allocation of institutions is based on merit.

The examination consists of two papers one in Physics & Chemistry, and Botany & Zoology.
