The Post-graduate Department of studies in Geology is the piece of University of Mysore, was begun under the stewardship generally Professor M.N. Viswanathaiah at Yuvaraja's College, Mysore. The Department owes its appreciation to these two prominent pioneers whose splendor and farsightedness made it workable for this division to achieve National and International acknowledgment.
