Dr. Trilochan Mohapatra assumed control over the charge of Secretary, Department of Agricultural Research and Education and Director General, ICAR from Dr S Ayyappan

Dr. Mohapatra was holding the position of Director-cum-Vice Chancellor of the prestigious Indian Agricultural Research Institute, New Delhi. Preceding this, he filled in as the Director of National Rice Research Institute (in the past CRRI), Cuttack. He served National Research Center on Plant Biotechnology, IARI, New Delhi as scientist and instructor for around 20 years. He is a researcher of worldwide notoriety working in the zone of atomic hereditary qualities and genomics.
