Proof & Experimental Establishment (PXE) is arranged on the shore of Bay of Bengal at Chandipur, in Odisha, at a separation of 15 km from Balasore city. This is the most seasoned foundation of DRDO.

The obtained extent is 19.5 km long and approx. 3 km in width. Be that as it may, the extent can be stretched out up to approx. 50 km long southwards, along the bank of Bay of Bengal, from Chandipur and 50 km into the ocean by notice.
