Can you provide me the syllabus for Electrical Engineering in Defense Research & Development Organization (DRDO) as I need it for preparation of its Entrance Exam?

Defense Research & Development Organization (DRDO) works under Department of Defense Research and Development of Ministry of Defense. It conducts a Scientist Entry Test (SET) on all India bases for the recruitment of scientists ‘B’ posts. A huge number of candidates appear for DRDO SET test. Essential Qualification:- Minimum First Class Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Technology (in relevant Subject/ Discipline) or Metallurgy (Material Science & Engg / Metallurgical Engg) for vacancies in Engineering disciplines at least First Class Master’s Degree in relevant Science subjects or Mathematics, as applicable, for vacancies in other disciplines Final Year students whose results of qualifying degree in first class would be available on or before 10 Aug 2016 may also apply. Electrical Engineering: Electric Circuits and Fields Signals and Systems Electrical Machines Power Systems Control Systems Electrical and Electronic Measurements Analog and Digital Electronics Power Electronics and Drives Paper Pattern DRDO SET exam is of three hours duration consisting of two sections viz. Section 'A' of 100 questions to test the candidate's knowledge in the subject of their BE/ B Tech (for Engg discipline) or M Sc (for Science Discipline) and Section 'B' of 50 questions to the candidate's ability in analytical and qualitative skills, current affairs and general awareness to test the aptitude and scientific knowledge required for Applied Research & Development. Based on the organization’s requirements, DRDO SET is conducted in Engineering Subjects such as Aero, Civil, Electrical, Chemical, Computer, Electronics/Electronics & Communication, Instrumentation, Mechanical, Metallurgy etc and Science subjects such as Chemistry, Physics and Maths/ Operations Research/ Statistics etc. |
