Establishment of Assam Engineering Institute and later foundation of Assam Engineering College was the start of Technical Education in the State of Assam. Directorate of Technical Education, Assam was built up at 1960. Presently there are four Govt. Building Colleges and 10 Polytechnic Institutions under this Directorate. The Assam Polytechnic (PAT) is the state level entrance test held for the competitors having a place with the Assam state. The exam is held for the hopefuls who are keen on different polytechnic courses offered by the diverse universities of the Assam state. The exam is led by the Directorate of Technical Education (DTE). Qualification Criteria Applicants can check the qualification criteria from the underneath said area. The applicants probably cleared class tenth or equal examination from a perceived board or, class twelfth examination the Board of Secondary Education Assam. The applicant must be the native of India. The applicant must hold the residence of the Assam state. The applicants having a place with the general classification must hold 40% stamps in arithmetic and science taken as normal. For the SC competitors it is 35% and for ST it is 33% checks in normal in science and arithmetic. For the competitors having a place with the general class the applicants must be conceived on or after first Aug 1997 and for the SC/ST the hopefuls must be conceived or after first Aug 1994. Assam PAT Exam Pattern The exam example of Assam Polytechnic is examined beneath. Sort: MCQ Mode: Paper and pencil based No. of inquiries: 100 inquiries from tenth level syllabus including fitness and GK Term: 2 hours The competitors applying for office administration needs to give one separate exam which will originate from English and General Knowledge. The term of the examination will be three hours. Reservation Plan Caste – 7% Plan Tribes (Plains)- 10% B.C. (counting M.O.B.C.) - 15% of yearly admission limit. For Moran Community add up to 10 (ten) seats, 1 in every Polytechnic. Children/Daughters/Grand Sons/Grand Daughters of Freedom Fighters (both fatherly and maternal): 15 situates altogether and in all polytechnics expect Diphu. Children and girls of Retired Defense Personal-1 situate in every Polytechnic. Physically Handicapped-3% of Institute admission limit.
