Diploma In Foreign Language Education

(French | German | Italian | Portuguese | Spanish)

The course is designed as a one-year, part-time post graduation diploma.

It will provide training in Foreign Language Education (FLE) and emphasise the how of foreign language education, on the basis of both didactic and linguistic theories and practice.
Number of Seats -

The total number of seats is 25, i.e. 5 seats for each language (French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Spanish).

In case of fewer applicants in any language, overall adjustments within the upper limit of 25 seats will be made subject to availability of resources.

Eligibility Criteria -

B.A. (any subject) and Advanced Diploma in the foreign language concerned with a minimum of 50%, or in an examination recognised as equivalent
Or
B.A. (Hons) in the foreign language concerned with a minimum of 50%. For in-service teachers the minimum requirement in either case will be 40%

Admission Procedure -

All candidates are required to appear for a written entrance examination, after which they will be called for an interview.

70% weightage will be given to the written examination and 30% to the interview.
