The Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) Programme of Directorate of Distance, University of Jammu aims at developing the understanding and competencies required to practising teachers for effective teaching-learning process

Eligibility Criteria

One fulfilling the following three conditions shall be eligible to seek admission in the B. Ed. programme:-
1. One who has passed Bachelor’s Degree Exam in the Faculty of Arts, Science, Social Sciences, Commerce, Agriculture, Faculty of Music and Fine Arts, Engineering, Medicine, Veterinary Science and Forestry conducted by the University of Jammu or an exam from any other University recognized as equivalent thereto
2. One who is serving as full time teachers in recognized school (Primary Secondary, Higher Secondary levels) within the territorial jurisdiction of the University of Jammu.
3. One who has a minimum of two years teaching experience either at a stretch or in parts at the time of submission of application form for admission.

Admission Procedure

Admission process is made through counseling on the basis of merit
The counseling schedule is notified separately
No separate invitation for counseling shall be sent individually to the candidates
The candidates have to present personally at the time of counseling
The counseling schedule shall be displayed on website

Fee Structure

One at the time of enrolment for the Programme shall have to pay the following fee:-

Admission Fee and other charges: Rs 15,940/-

In addition to the above fee the candidates are required to deposit the following fee in the Directorate as the case may be

Eligibility fee
Rs 550/- for the candidate not already registered with University of Jammu Candidates’ migration from other Universities

Registration fee
Rs. 200/-

Revival of Registration
Rs. 280/-

Revival in the absence of Migration Certificate with an affidavit
Rs. 980/-
