Educational Qualification:
Candidates must have passed graduation of any stream.

Age:
Candidates must have attained the minimum age of 20 years on 1st July of the year of examination and must not have crossed 27 years of age on that date.

The upper age limit will be relaxed by 3 years for OBC candidates and 5 years for SC/ST candidates.

The upper age limit is also relaxed in favor of certain categories of employees working under the Government of India and Defense Services Personnel.

Physical Requirements
a. Height
i. For men -165cms.
ii. For women -150cms
Height relax able for Hillsmen and Tribals: 5cms

b. Chest:
76cms. with expansion (There shall be no such requirement in case of female candidates)

c.Vision:
Eye-Sight (with or without glasses)
Distant Vision :6/6 in one and 6/9 in other eye.
NearVision:0.6 in one eye and 0.8 in other eye

Process:
Candidates firstly have to fill the application form of UPSC Civil Services exam

Then candidates will have to give the Preliminary Examination in the month of May or June
