Re: Eligibility for IRDA

On behalf of IRDA (Insurance Regulatory and development Authority), Agent pre recruitment exam is conducted by Insurance Institute of India. To become Life Insurance Agent in India one should pass IRDA IC 33 Pre recruitment qualification exam.

Educational Qualification
one, interested to take IRDA exam should be +2 from a recognized school/board.

Age
One should not be below 18 years of age however there is no upper age limit for taking IRDA Exam for becoming an LIC agent.

The Syllabus of IC 33 Exam
The Syllabus of IRDA Exam comprises subjects questions related to Insurance, loans, regulations and their general application. However there can be some questions of numerical problems like percentage, discount and loan calculation etc.

1. Understanding insurance
2. Providing technical product information
3. Providing professional advice
4. Understanding claims
5. Fulfilling legal and regulatory requirements
6. Understanding customer protection and ethics

The Examination Pattern for IC 33

1. The Test contains 50 Multiple Choice Questions.
2. Time is 1Hour.
3. Each question carries one mark.
4. There is no negative mark for wrong answers.
5. To qualify a person should get 35% marks.
6. Fill Ups
7. Yes – No
8. Right –Wrong
9. Match the Column
10. Multiple choice Answers

IRDA Exam Fee
IRDA Exam fee for each entry form is Rs.200 (Rs.400 for Life & General Insurance)
