Eligibility For MA Economics In DU
I want to get admission in MA Economics in University of Delhi so can you please tell me the eligibility criteria for admission? The Department of Economics DSE, University of Delhi offers MA Economics course of duration 2 years. MA (Economics) Eligibility Criteria B.A. (Hons) Economics of the University of Delhi with scoring minimum 50% marks in the aggregate. Applicants are required to pass in first Class with minimum 60% or more marks in Graduate/Post-graduate degree in any other subject from the University of Delhi or any Indian University recognized by the University of Delhi. B.A. (Hons) / B.Sc. (Hons) Economics of any other Indian University recognized by the University of Delhi with minimum 50% marks in the aggregate are also eligible to apply for the exam. However, Universities where the B.A /B.Sc (Honors) Economics degree includes programs other than Economics, the course will be considered as an Honors course only if it includes at least 55% marks of the total marks regarding papers in economics. Age Limit: Candidates must have completed 22 years of age. Entrance Exam- The Entrance Examination will test the candidates’ ability to understand and apply concepts in four basic areas in Economics: (a) microeconomic theory, (b) macroeconomic theory, (c) mathematical techniques used by economists, and (d) probability, statistics and elementary econometrics. Apart from these, some general questions testing the reasoning and quantitative ability of the students may also be asked. Exam pattern- Exam will consist of multiple-choice questions only. The duration of exam will be 3 hours.
