Eligible to apply for CBSE scholarship after scoring 84%
Am I eligible to apply for CBSE - Central Sector Scholarship after scoring 84% in XII Standard???? Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), New Delhi awards "Central Sector Scholarship" to meritorious students from low income families. Scholarship will be awarded on the basis of the results of senior secondary examinations. Yes, you can apply for CBSE scholarship after scoring 84% in XII as its minimum eligibility states that you should have scored minimum 80% of marks in Class XII of 10+2 pattern or equivalent. Eligibility for Central Sector Scheme of Scholarships: -You should have scored minimum 80% of marks in Class XII of 10+2 pattern or equivalent. -You should be an Indian national. - You should have passed the Senior School Certificate Examination which is conducted by CBSE - You should have secured the total aggregate marks (in first five subjects) equal or above the following minimum marks as per the stream opted by the applicant Minimum Total Aggregate Marks for all categories (SC/ST/OBC/UR) to apply for Scholarship (Marks in first five subjects) Science - 410/500 Commerce - 387/500 Humanities - 330/500 Scope of the scheme: -The total number of scholarships will be divided among the State Boards based on the State's population in the age group of 18-28 years -Around 50% of the scholarships would be earmarked for girls. -82000 fresh scholarships per annum i.e. 14000 for boys and 41000 for girls will be awarded for graduate/ postgraduate studies in colleges and universities and for professional courses such as Medical, Engineering etc. Amount of Central Sector Scheme of Scholarships -Students pursuing professional courses would get Rs.2000/- per month in the 4th & 5th year. The scholarship would be paid for 10 months in an academic year. -The scholarship will be given @ Rs.1000/- per month at Graduation level for first three years of College and University courses and Rs.2000/- per month at Post graduation level.
