University of Allahabad conducts Under Graduate Admission Test (UGAT) for admission to following courses.

B.A.
B.Com.
B.Sc. (Maths)
B.Sc. (Bio.)
B.Sc. (Home Sc.)
B.Sc. (Maths)+B.Sc. (Home Sc.)
B.Sc. (Bio.)+B.Sc. (Home Sc.)
BS (GDS) (Only at Allahabad Centre)
B.P.E. (Only at Allahabad Centre)
B.Mus. (Only at Allahabad Centre)
B.F.A. (Only at Allahabad Centre)

Allahabad University UGAT Paper Pattern:-

The Admission Test will be two hours duration.
Every candidate has to answer 150 questions from multiple choice questions.
For every correct answer, 3 marks awarded and for wrong answer 1 mark will be deducted.

B.A Admission Test (Intermediate Standard)

1. English & Hindi (Language and Literature) (Select any one) - 25 questions
2. General Awareness - 25 questions
3. General mental Ability Test - 25 questions
4. Knowledge Test - 75 questions.

Out of seven subjects, namely Civics, Economics, Geography, History, Logic, Sanskrit and Urdu each subject will have 25 questions of intermediate level. The candidate will be to opt any three subjects from amongst.

B. Sc Admission Test (Intermediate standard)

Common to B. Sc (Biology), B. Sc (Mathematics), B. Sc (Home Science), B. Sc (Bio) + B. Sc (Home Sc.) , B. Sc (Maths) + B. Sc (Home Sc.)

1. General English or General Hindi (Select any one) - 20 questions

2. General Awareness - 10 questions

3. Science Group (Intermediate level) - 120 questions

There will be 40 questions in each of the following four subjects: -
1. Physics, 2 Chemistry, 3 Mathematics and 4 Biology

Candidates of maths stream have to select 120 questions from Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics, and the Biology stream have to select 120 questions from Physics, Chemistry and Biology.

However, candidates who have to applied for B. Sc (Home Science) ,may opt any three subject from these.

Candidate who have applied for B. Sc (Maths + home Science) have to select 120 questions from Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.

And those who have applied for B. Sc (Bio + Home Science) have to select 120 questions from Physics, Chemistry and Biology.

B.Com Admission Test (Intermediate Standard)

1. General English and General Hindi (Select any one) - 20 questions
2. General Awareness - 10 questions
3. Commerce (Intermediate level) - 120 questions

B.F.A Admission Test (Intermediate Level)

1. Theory Paper - Time One hour Maximum Marks - 150 (Objective question on visual arts of 75 questions)

a) Practical examination 90 minutes (150 marks) objective Drawing with light and shade ( in any medium)
b) Memory drawing 90 minutes ( 150 marks) in any medium).


Syllabus for B.F.A Admission Test:-

Theory: - History of Visual Arts and Design

Practical:- Painting- Drawing, Sketching, Composition, Still Life, print Making Textile Design - weaving, Block Sculpture - Antique, Composition, Pottery / Ceramics - Shape Making,
Design Applied Arts - Design, Lettering, Photography/ Block Making / Typography.

B. Mus Admission Test ( Intermediate level)

B.P.E Admission Test (Intermediate Level)

A Written Test 9 100 marks) :- Their shall be one paper of 90 minutes duration carrying 100 marks containing 100 objective type questions based on general studies, current affairs and general knowledge with specific references to sports for BPE. There shall be not provision of negative marking.

b) Physical Efficiency Test (PET) (100 marks) - 1.50 m Run, 2 Standing Broad Jump, 3 Shuttle Run (4 x 10 m), 4 Two hand Overhead Medicine Ball Throw 5. 600m Run/ Walk.

Globalization Dual Degree Programme B. Sc (GDS) Admission Test (Intermediate Level)

The Test will consist of two sections.

Section One - The first will consist of fifty (50) objective type questions (Multiple Choice Questions - MCQs) and will cover the following areas:

A Basic understanding of globalization, new communication technologies, national level politics and Pachayat Raj.
B. Understanding of Poverty, unemployment & development issues.
C. Ecological concepts and practices
D. Indian society & Culture
E Basic Computer Skills.

Section B Language skills & Comprehension (Descriptive)

Section B will consist of descriptive answer type questions (Approx 500 words) totalling 50 marks in the following areas

A. Singular & Plural
B. Verbs & Pronouns
C. Times & Tenses
D. Idioms & Phrases
E. Opinion writing.
