Wipro Completes Implementation of Employees’ State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) “Project Panchdeep” on February 24, 2012.

Project Panchdeep provides online facilities to employers and insured people for registration, payment of premium and disbursement of cash benefits.

It also automates medicare services to all insured people.

The project includes other modules like HR, Finance and General Administration programs.

Most of the modules were operational by December'2010.

Project Panchdeep will allow insured people to avail of medical services at any ESIC facility across India.

Dr C S Kedar, IAS, Director General, Employees' State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) said “Project Panchdeep is India's first and largest social security program which comprises of five important components namely Pehchan, Milap, Pashan, Dhanwantri and Pragati.

ESIC is a statutory corporation, under the Ministry of Labour & Employment, Government of India (GoI).

Project Panchdeep has five components. Pehchan includes all services related to identification, authentication and verification of Insured Persons (IPs) through the use of biometric cards.
