Test of English as a Foreign Language is a standardized test that is Conducted to Test the English language ability of non-native speakers wishing to enroll in English-speaking universities. Evaluation Criteria The Evaluation Criteria for the TOEFL IBT Score is given below The TOEFL iBT test is scored on a scale of 0 to 120 points. Each of the four sections Reading, Listening, Speaking, and Writing) receives a scaled score from 0 to 30. kill Score Range Level Reading 0–30 High (22–30) Intermediate (15–21) Low (0–14) Listening 0–30 High (22–30) Intermediate (15–21) Low (0–14) Speaking 0–30 score scale Good (26–30) Fair (18–25) Limited (10–17) Weak (0–9) Writing 0–30 score scale Good (24–30) Fair (17–23) Limited (1–16) Total Score 0–120 Reading Section The Reading and Listening sections are scored by computer with a score range from 0 to 30. The Reading section has 36–56 tasks based on reading passages from academic texts and answering questions. Speaking Section : Each of six tasks is rated from 0 to 4. The sum is converted to a scaled score of 0 to 30. Writing Section Two tasks are rated from 0 to 5. The sum is converted to a scaled score of 0 to 30. |
