Patna University was established in the year 1917. On January 2, 1952 it was converted into a purely teaching -cum-residential University with the territorial jurisdiction over Metropolitan Patna. It is one of the oldest Universities in the Country.

According to academic calendar the Patna University will release the first, second, third / final year exam scheme / routine in the month of January.

It provides many under graduate (UG) and post graduate (PG) courses such are B.A, B.Sc, B.Com, M.A, M.Sc, M.Com, M.Ed, BBA, B.Ed, MCA, MBA.

The university will conduct the b.sc yearly exam in the month of March / April.
