Re: Exam Pattern for ICET

The ICET test is intended to gauge the competitor's capacity to think efficiently, to utilize the verbal and scientific abilities and to survey his or her bent for induction into MBA or MCA program.

ICET Test Pattern

The test comprises of 200 inquiries of one stamp each in the accompanying themes.


Segment - An: Analytical Ability

(i) Data Sufficiency: 20 Questions
(ii) Problem Solving: 55 Questions

Segment - B: Mathematical Ability

(i) Arithmetical Ability: 35 Questions
(ii) Algebraical and Geometrical Ability: 30 Questions
(iii) Statistical Ability: 10 Questions

Segment - C: Communication Ability

(i) Vocabulary: 10 Questions
(ii) Business and Computer Terminology: 10 Questions
(iii) Functional Grammar: 15 Questions
(iv) Reading Comprehension: 15 Questions

ICET Test Syllabus

Segment - An: Analytical Ability (75 Questions)

(1) Data Sufficiency (20 Questions):

An inquiry is given trailed by information as two articulations marked as i and ii. On the off chance that the information given in only i is adequate to answer the inquiry then decision (1) is the right reply. In the event that the information given in ii alone is adequate to answer the inquiry then decision (2) is the right reply. In the event that both i and ii set up together are adequate to answer the inquiry yet neither state¬ment alone is adequate, then decision (3) is the cor¬rect answer. On the off chance that both i and ii set up together are not suffi¬cient to answer the inquiry and extra information is required, then decision (4) is the right reply.

(2) Problem Solving (55 Questions):

(a) Sequences and Series (25 questions): Analogies of numbers and letter sets, culmination of clear spaces taking after the example in a:b::c:d rela¬tionship; odd thing out: missing number in a succession or an arrangement.

(b) Data Analysis (10 addresses): The information given in a Table, Graph, Bar outline, Pie Chart, Venn Diagram or a Passage is to be broke down and the inquiries relating to the information are to be replied.

(c) Coding and Decoding Problems (10 addresses): A code example of English Alphabet is given. A given word or a gathering of letters are to be coded or de¬coded in light of the given code or codes.

Segment - B: Mathematical Ability (75 Questions)

(a) Arithmetical Ability (35 questions): Laws of records, proportion and extent; surds; num¬bers and distinguishableness, L.C.M. furthermore, G.C.D; Rational numbers, Ordering.; Percentages; Profit and misfortune; Partnership, Pipes and storages, time, separation and work issues, ranges and volumes, mensuration, secluded number-crunching.

(b) Algebraical and Geometrical Ability (30 questions): Statements, Truth tables, suggestion chat and reverse, Tautologies-Sets, Relations and capacities, applications - Equation of a line in various structures.

Trigonometry - Trigonometric proportions, Trigonometric proportions of standard edges, (0°, 30°, 45°, 60°, 90°, 180°): Trigonometric personalities: test issues on statures and separations, Polynomials; Remainder hypothesis and outcomes; Linear mathematical statements and expressions; Progressions, Binomial Theorem, Matrices, Notion of a cutoff and subordinate; Plane geometry - lines, Triangles, Quadrilaterals, Circles, Coordinate geometry-separation between focuses.

(c) Statistical Ability (10 questions): Frequency conveyances, Mean, Median, Mode, Standard Deviations, Correlation, basic issues on Probability.

Segment - C: Communication Ability (50 Questions)

Destinations of the Test: Candidates will be evaluated on the capacity to:


i) Identify vocabulary utilized as a part of the everyday correspondence

ii) Understand the utilitarian utilization of sentence structure in everyday correspondence and also in business settings

iii) Identify the fundamental wording and ideas in PC and business connections (letters, reports, memoranda, plan, minutes and so forth.).

iv) Understand composed content and drawing surmisings

Section 1: Vocabulary (10 questions)
Section 2: Business and Computer Terminology (10 questions)
Section 3: Functional Grammar (15 questions)
Section 4: Reading Comprehension (15 questions)
