Private medical colleges of Andhra Pradesh are pushing for a uniform fee structure. The college management seeks to fix the annual fee anywhere between Rs 8 lakh to Rs 9 lakh per student.

At Present, Non-minority medical colleges offer 40 per cent of their seats (Category A) for Rs 60,000 and 10 per cent for Rs 2.4 lakh and remaining seats are sold as management quota seats, for which anything between Rs 50 lakh to Rs 1 crore is demanded.

Minority institutions offers 60 per cent of their seats at Rs 60,000 on merit basis and the rest 40 per cent are marked as management quota seats.
