AFCAT remains for Air Force Common Admission Test. This test is led by the Indian Air Force for choice of officers in all branches of the IAF (aside from therapeutic and dental) viz. Flying Branch (Short Service Commission just), Technical Branch (Permanent Commission and Short Service Commission) and Ground Duty Branch (Permanent Commission and Short Service Commission). AFCAT is led twice per year (in the time of February and August). The promotion for the same is distributed in the times of December and June individually
