CAT, or the Common Admission Test, is an aptitude test; it is the most popular test among prospective management students because it is accepted by the best institutes. List of Courses Offered under CAT -PGPEM -PGP -PGP-ABM -PGPBM -PGP-UAE -PGPWE -PGPPM -EPGPM -PGP-Mumbai -PGPSM -PGDHRM -PGDM -PGPEX Eligibility Criteria: Candidate must hold a Graduation degree, having 50 % marks or equivalent CGPA. (45% in case of the candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST) and Persons with Disability (PWD)/Differently Able (DA) category) awarded by any of the Recognised Universities Reservations of Seats -15% - Seats are reserved for Scheduled Caste (SC) -7.5% - Scheduled Tribe (ST) candidates -27% - Seats are reserved for Other Backward Classes candidates belonging to the “non - creamy” layer (NC - OBC) -3% - Seats are reserved for Differently Abled (DA) candidates Paper Pattern There are three sections: Quantitative Ability (QA, 34 questions), Data Interpretation & Logical Reasoning (DILR, 32 questions) and Verbal Ability & Reading Comprehension (VRC, 34 questions). The duration of the exam is 180 minutes. There is no separate time limit on sections. Syllabus English/Verbal Ability: Reading comprehension, verbal reasoning, syllogisms, analogies, antonyms and synonyms, fill in the blanks, sentence correction, idioms, etc. Maths/Quant Ability: Number systems, geometry, trogonometry, probability, permutation combination, algebra, mensuration, time and work, averages, percentages, profit and loss, quadratic and linear equations, etc. Data Interpretation: Interpretation and analysis of data based on text, tables, graphs (line, area), charts (column, bar, pie), venn diagram, etc. Logical Reasoning: Clocks, calendars, binary logic, seating arrangement, blood relations, logical sequence, assumption, premise, conclusion, linear and matrix arrangement, etc. |
