If you want to get into a top business school, a good score on the Graduate Management Admission Test GMAT is required. Preparation needs to take place over a good number of months in order to give yourself the best chance of success. GMAT preparation tips- Set a timetable of preparation of the exam. Create a learning diary- Write down every unknown prep question (or also questions that took you too long to answer) and try to understand the correct answer and concept behind them. Focus on your weaknesses… but in a measured way Give online mock test of GMAT exam. Try to overshoot your target GMAT Score Do preparation according to the pattern and the syllabus of exam. GMAT 2016 Exam Pattern The GMAT Test is divided into some sections. The Test mainly comprises of four sections: Analytical writing assessment Integrated reasoning Quantitative section Verbal section The total time that the candidate will spend in the examination hall is Four (4) hours including the breaks. The actual test time is three and half hour (3.5 Hours). Section Duration and number of questions Analytical writing assessment (30 minutes) (N/A) Integrated reasoning (30 minutes) (12 questions) Quantitative (75 minutes) (37 questions) Verbal (75 minutes) (41 questions) The first section (analytical writing assessment) will have to be completed in 30 minutes and the next part (integrated reasoning section) which contains Twelve Questions has an allotment of 30 Minutes. The rest two parts have been allotted a total time of 150 Minutes that is 75 minutes for the 37 questions of a Quantitative section and 75 minutes for the 41 questions of the verbal sections. |
