The Sports Section of Goa University organises Inter Collegiate Sports Championship annually in the following event. Badminton, Table Tennis, Judo, Chess, Cross Country, Weight Lifting, Power Lifting, Best Physique, Cycling, Swimming , Football, Tennikoit, Tennis, Athletics, Basketball, Kabaddi, Handball, Hockey, Kho-Kho, Volleyball, Cricket ,Taekwondo, Baseball for men and women.

All participants are given cerificates.

The Winners and Runners-up are awarded with trophies, medals and achievement certificates.

The Inter Collegiate Championships are held in two phases First phase starts in the last week of July and ends by the first week of October.

The second phase starts from the last week of November and goes up to the first week of March each year.

A coaching camp is organized to prepare the University team. Expenditure towards coaching camps, lodging, boarding, kit and travel is borne by the University.

Goa University conducts selection trials to select the best players in the affiliated institutions to represent the University at the Inter University Championships organized by Universities across the Country.
