The Government College of Engineering, Kannur (GCEK) is a state-sponsored engineering college affiliated to Kannur University, Kerala, India.

The college was started in October 1986, as a center for imparting engineering education in northern Kerala.

It offers M.Tech courses in Elecrical and Electronics Engineering(Power Electronics and Drives) and Mechanical Engineering(Advanced Manufacturing and Mechanical Systems)

The college offers part-time degree courses in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical & Electronics and Electronics & Communication Engineering.

PhD

Currently, Civil Engineering department and the Mechanical Engineering department are approved research centres of Kannur University. APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University has also identified this institute as a research centre.

Apart from this, research activities are promoted at Post Graduate level under the support from TEQIP II.
