The Biju Patnaik University of Technology, Orissa, with its head-quarters in Rourkela came into being in November 2002 through an act of the Government.

BPUT (Biju Patnaik University of Technology) grades its students in a 10 point scale each semester.

It doesn't award percentage to its students.

It provides CGPA that is Cumulative Grade Point Average. The CGPA is calculated taking a maximum value of 10.
