Re: Grading System in School Exams
The grading system in India was introduced in 2008-09 from class I-VIII, reducing the exam stress. Extending the concept to class IX and X has further reduced the pressure, giving students an opportunity to explore other avenues. Most Common Grading Scales: Grade Scale Grade Description A+ 90.00 - 100.00 Distinction A 80.00 - 89.99 Distinction A- 70.00 - 79.99 B+ 60.00 - 69.99 First Class B 50.00 - 59.99 Second Class B- 45.00 - 49.99 C+ 40.00 - 44.99 Third Class C 32.00 - 39.99 Third Class F 0.00 - 31.99 Fail Letter grade Grade Scale Grade Description AA 10 Outstanding A+ 10 Outstanding AB 9.00 - 9.99 Excellent A 9.00 - 9.99 Excellent BB 8.00 - 8.99 Very Good B 8.00 - 8.99 Very Good BC 7.00 - 7.99 Good B- 7.00 - 7.99 Good CC 6.00 - 6.99 Pass C 6.00 - 6.99 Pass FF 0.00 - 5.99 Failed F 0.00 - 5.99 Fail NA Not Appeared |
