There can be three types of scholars in the Ph.D. programme:
I. Full Time Research
II. Part Time Research
III. Independent Research

Eligibility:

Candidate should have obtained Master's Degree with at least 55% (SC/ST 50%) from any recognized university.
A candidate who has obtained the degree of Master of Engineering or M.Tech with Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics, Environment, Bioscience, Biotechnology as one of the subjects is eligible for PhD.

There will be an entrance test for admission to the PhD in Gujarat University, Ahmedabad.
