Guru Ghasidas Vishwavidyalaya, a Central University set up by an Act 2009 of the Parliament, was initially settled as State University by an Act of State Legislative Assembly of the then unified Madhya Pradesh on 16 June 1983. GGV is a dynamic individual from the Association of Indian Universities and Association of Commonwealth University. Department of Computer Science and Information Technology

The Department of Computer Science and Information innovation (CSIT) began in the year 1990, with one year P.G. Confirmation course (PGDCA). This course was trailed by a Master's degree course in Computer Science and additionally Information Technology (M.Sc.(CS) and M.Sc.(IT)) in 1996.
