UIDAI, the regulatory body of Aadhaar project, has signed a major contract deal with the HCL Infosystems Ltd.

This is the largest deal till now from the Aadhaar regulatory body Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI).

According to the news sources the deal is of 7 long years and is of about 2023 crore which will be completed in twenty eight instalments.

TCS, Tech Mahindra, Wipro and Accenture were the major competitors for HCL in this big contract.

The Karnataka capital city Bangalore and a city from Uttar Pradesh, Noida which are the centre of HCL will be used for the services.

HCL will now be in charge for obtaining and setting up of the infrastructure, employing of information-security-management systems and operations support and preservation.
