Re: HCL Khetri

Hindustan Copper Limited (HCL), an open part undertaking of the Government of India was joined on ninth November 1967. It has the qualification of being India's lone vertically incorporated copper creating organization enveloping mining, beneficiation, purifying, refining and throwing of refined copper metal.

Khetri Copper Complex (KCC) at Khetrinagar, Rajasthan

Khetri is arranged at the foothills of the Aravalli Range, which has copper mineralization, offering ascend to a 80 km long metallogenetic area from Singhana in the north to Raghunathgarh in the south, famously known as Khetri Copper Belt. The belt includes firmly collapsed Proterozoic metasediments that rest over cellar gneisses and is a part of the North Delhi fold belt. Unmistakable stores of the belt are: Khetri, Kolihan, Banwas, Chandmari, Dhani Basri, Baniwali Ki Dhani (Neem Ka Thana, Rajasthan). Different stores are: Dholamala, Akwali, Muradpura - Pacheri (Jhunjhunu, Rajasthan), and Devtalai (Bhilwara, Rajasthan).

Starting point

Consistent mining stopped around there by 1872. With the coming of twentieth century, the geologists of Geological Survey of India. Indian Bureau of Mines attempted investigations. Improvement of Khetri Mine was begun by National Mineral Development Corporation (NMDC) and the undertaking was given over to HCL in 1967 when HCL was framed. Consequently, purifying and refining offices were included.
