I want to know the Hostels Coordinating Unit HCU of Indian Institute of Technology Bombay so can you tell me? The Hostels Coordinating Unit HCU of Indian Institute of Technology Bombay is under the charge of Chairman, HCU. He coordinates and interfaces with the Council of Wardens. Day to day matters in the hostels are looked after by the Hall Manager and by an elected Hostel Council of students led by the Hostel General Secretary. Prof. Anindya Dutta Chairman, Hostel Coordinating Unit Email id: hcu.chair@iitb.ac.in IIT Bombay has 17 Hostels to cater to the accommodation of students at IIT Bombay Hostel No 1 to 9 and 12, 13, 14, and 15 (A and B wing) are for boys Hostel No 10, 10A, 11 and 15(C wing) are girls hostels. Every hostel has washing and ironing facilities, a computer room, a TV, sports grounds and indoor games like Table Tennis, Carrom Board, Chess etc. The access rules vary, but in general, these facilities can be availed of against your I-Card. There’s Internet connection in each room. Several hostels have shops in them to meet daily needs and requirements and also provide stationary, xerox, and printing facilities. Messes are present in each individual hostel. These messes serve food 4 times a day.
