I want to know about procedure to become an IAS officer after passing graduation degree ? To become an IAS officer you must pass Indian administrative examination Organized by union public service examination .. here I am giving you information about required eligibility criteria to apply for Indian administrative examination IAS exam Eligibility Criteria: You must complete graduation in any discipline from a well recognized university. Age limit : 21-30 years as on 1st August of the year of Examination. OBC candidate age limit maximum : 33 years. SC/ST have 5 years of age relaxation. Important dates : Civil Services Preliminary Exam 2014 Notification Date : 17th May 2014 Last dates for Applications : 16th June 2014 Examination will be held on : 24th August 2014 Civil Services Main Exam 2014 Examination will be held on : 14th December 2014 IAS Prelims Syllabus for 2014 UPSC Civil Services Exam General Studies Paper I Maximum marks : 200 Number of Questions : 100 Total Time : 120 minutes (02 hours) Syllabus 1. Current events of national and international importance 2. History of India and Indian national movement 3. Indian and World Geography 4. Indian Polity and governance 5. Economic and social development 6. General issues on environmental ecology, bio-diversity and climate change 7. General Science General Studies Paper II Maximum marks : 200 Number of Questions : 80 Total Time : 120 minutes (02 hours) Syllabus 1. Comprehension 2.
