Tips To Prepare Month wise For CAT While Working

July - Weekdays 2 hours for QR. Weekends solve mock test paper’s QR questions for 2 to 3 hours; practice DI, LR for 3 to 4 hours in the afternoon and RC for 3 to 4 hours in the night.

August - Weekdays 2 hours for DI/LR. Weekends solve CAT level DI/LR questions for 2 to 3 hours; practice QR for 3 to 4 hours in the afternoon and RC for 3 to 4 hours in the night.

September - Weekdays 2 hours for RC. Weekends solve complex RC questions for 2 to 3 hours; practice QR for 3 to 4 hours in the afternoon and DI/LR for 3 to 4 hours in the night.

October – You are ready to give mock tests, every weekend take two mock tests and make notes post the test for leaving a question unanswered or answering it wrong. Observe your strengths and weaknesses and work on your weaker areas more.

November – Revise, keep giving mock tests, and practice more and more.

Exam pattern:

Type: Computer based test (CBT).
Duration: The duration of the paper CAT exam will be of 180 minutes.
No. of Questions: 100 Objective type questions.
Syllabus Covered: logical reasoning & data interpretation, verbal ability & Reading Comprehension and quantitative ability.
Marking Scheme: 3 marks for every correct answer.
Negative Marking: 1 mark will be deducted for every wrong answer.
Time Limit per Section: Candidates will be allotted exactly 60 minutes for answering questions in each section.
