The NET jointly conducted by UGC and CSIR is very important examination for those like to go for higher courses in all kinds of Sciences.

Achieving JRF in this exam is a tough task provided the standard of the question papers.

Through CSIR – NET JRF shall offer you a Ph.D. seat in most reputed Laboratories in the country working under the purview of CSIR, DBT, ICMR etc.

Eligibility:
Candidates must have done 4 year program (B. Tech, B. E, B. Pharma, MBBS, M. Sc) with at least 55 % from a recognized university. The final year candidates of M. Sc or have done 10 + 2+3 exam.

CSIR UGC Combined National Eligibility Test for Research Fellowship & Lectureship for chemical sciences is conducted twice every year (in June & in December) to select right candidates to award research fellowships, initially for two years (JRF) which can be further extended for three more years (SRF).

CSIR Net Exam Pattern:

The CSIR NET exam in chemical sciences is:

A single paper test having multiple choice questions (MCQs)
Carries a maximum of 200 marks
Is divided into three parts (A, B & C).
Conducted for the duration of 3 hours

Part - A carries 20 questions

Part - B contains 50 multiple choice questions

The standards of these questions from this section may range from 10+2 to PG level in chemistry subject.

Part - C consists of 75 questions.

There will be negative marking @25% for each wrong answer.
