Re: IAS Eligibility Criteria

As you want I am here telling you about the eligibility criteria to appear in IAS exam.

Eligibility Criteria:

Qualification:
Candidate must hold a undergraduate degree of any of recognized university.

Nationality:
a citizen of India, or
a subject of Nepal, or
a subject of Bhutan, or
a Tibetan refugee


Age Limits :
21 years -30 years.

Age relaxation will also be provided for the SC/ST/OBC candidates as per the government rules.

Number of attempts:
For General: 4 times
For OBC: 7 times
For SC/ST: Till 35 yrs of age

Weightage of marks:
Marks in the Final Main examination will as:
Subject Marks
General studies four papers 1,000
Optional subject I & II Paper 500
Essay 250
English Paper 300
Personality Test 275
One Indian Language 300
