IBPS PO Common Written Examination CWE is conducted twice in a year by the Institute of Banking Personnel Selection for selection of candidates for the post of Probationary Officer/ Management Trainee in the Public Sector Banks. IBPS PO Exam Eligibility Graduation degree in any discipline from a recognized University or any equivalent qualification Age Limits- The candidates age should be between 20 years to 30 years. Relaxation in upper age limit is as per rules for specified categories including SC/ST/OBC etc. Nationality A candidate must be either:- a Citizen of India or a subject of Nepal or a subject of Bhutan or a Tibetan Refugee who came over to India before 1st January 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India or a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India, provided that a candidate belonging to categories (ii), (iii), (iv) & (v) above shall be a person in whose favour a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Government of India. IBPS PO Exam Syllabus Reasoning: This test would include questions of both verbal and non-verbal type. The test may include questions on analogies, similarities, differences, space visualization, problem-solving, analysis, judgment, decision-making, visual memory, discrimination, observation, relationship concepts, arithmetical reasoning, verbal and figure classification, arithmetical number series, etc. The test will also include questions designed to test the candidate's abilities to deal with abstract ideas and symbols and their relationships, arithmetical computation and other analytical functions. English Language: This is a test to see how well you know English. English language ability would be tested through questions on grammar, vocabulary, sentence completion, synonyms, antonyms, comprehension of a passage, etc. Numerical Ability: Questions will be designed to test the ability of arithmetical computation of whole numbers, decimals and fractions and relationship between numbers. The questions would be based on arithmetical concepts and relationship between numbers and not on complicated arithmetical computations. General Awareness and Computer Knowledge In this section question are asked related to basic concepts of computer and basic General Awareness and current affairs. |
