The Indian Council of Medical Research started the Short Term Studentship Program in 1979 with a specific end goal to advance intrigue and bent for explore among restorative students. The fundamental goal of this program is to give a chance to undergrad medicinal understudies to acquaint themselves with inquire about approach and systems by being related for a brief length with their seniors on continuous research program or by embraced autonomous tasks. This may fill in as an impetus for them to take up look into as a vocation later on. The Guide/Institution must give the understudy all offices (packs, reagents and different necessities) for completing examination.

This program is just for undergrad MBBS understudies before they show up in their last, most decisive tests and accordingly, assistants/PG understudies are not qualified to apply. Understudies of paramedical/dental/non-medicinal courses may not have any significant bearing.

The understudy must do the examination in his/her own therapeutic school under the guide who is utilized in the restorative school as a workforce. Just perpetual full time employees working in any of the Department of the Medical College where the understudy is selected, can go about as the guide.
