Online Shopping password (OSP) is an additional step of authentication to secure and protect your e-commerce transactions initiated from external merchant websites.

It is a six-digit number which will be sent to your mobile number by way of a SMS.

This number is confidential and should not be disclosed or shared with anyone even if the person claims to be an IDBI Bank official.

How will I generate an Online Shopping Password (OSP) by SMS?

Send an SMS from your registered mobile number to 5676777 with the following keyword:- GENOSP<space>Cust ID.

For e.g:- GENOSP 7123456

Note:- Messages sent to short code numbers (5676777) are charged at a higher rate than regular SMS rate.

You will receive the OSP by way of a SMS on your mobile number registered with the Bank.

The OSP generated on a particular day will be valid for 30 minutes. Yes, the OSP can be used any number of times for multiple e-commerce transactions within the validity period.
