I want to know the IES Exam Maximum number of attempts, will you please tell me the same?????

Indian Engineering Service examination is conducted by Union Public Service Commission Once in a year. Students having following disciplines are eligible to apply for this exam:

Civil Engineering
Electrical Engineering
Mechanical engineering.
Electronics and Communication Engineering.

Numbers of attempts:
General student it = 4 times.
OBC Candidate = 7 times.
SC/ST candidate = 9 times

Nationality:
The candidate should be citizen of India.

Required qualification:
The applicant should have completed engineering with good academic record from any recognized university of India.
