I am looking to get the admission to the undergraduate course at the IISC can you please help me?

The Indian Institute of Science (IISc) was conceived as a ´Research Institute´ or ´University of Research´ by Jamsetji Nusserwanji Tata the patron of the Tata group in the final years of the 19th century.. The institute came into existence on the May 27, 1909.

Here are the details of the undergraduate courses at the IISc-

Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore offers admission to its four-year Bachelor of Science (B.S.) Programme for the year 2014. Students who will appear for the 12th standard board examination (or equivalent) in 2014 and those who have passed this examination in 2013 are eligible to apply for admission to this Programme at the institute.

Online applications will be received at the website of the institute during February 3 - April 30, 2014..

How to apply –

Filling the Application Form (available only online): The online application may be prepared and submitted by accessing the IISc website with effect from 03.02.2014. The online application must be submitted on or before 30.04.2014 to the institute .The application fee is Rs. 400/- for GN/OBC/KM candidates and Rs. 200/- for SC/ST/PH categories.

Payment of the Application Fee: Mode of payment options available are: (1) Online Payment - Net-banking, Visa Card/ Master Card, Debit/Credit Cards. (2) Offline Payment - SBI/Canara Bank branches accept Challan payment across the country regarding the payment of the fees to get the admission. The bank service charge is extra (to be borne by the applicants).

Instructions for completing the online application form:

The first step is to complete the online application form following the specific instructions provided at the website of the institute for receiving applications. The online application must be submitted on or before 30 April 2014.

Authorities Empowered To Issue Scheduled Caste / Scheduled Tribe/ Other Backward Class Certificates:

District Magistrate / Additional District Magistrate / Collector / Deputy Collector / Deputy Commissioner / Additional Deputy Commissioner / 1st Class Stipendiary Magistrate / City Magistrate / Sub-divisional Magistrate / Taluk Magistrate / Executive Magistrate / Extra Assistant Commissioner.
Chief Presidency Magistrate / Additional Chief Presidency Magistrate/ Presidency Magistrate.
Revenue Officer not below the rank of Tahsildar.
Sub-Divisional Officer of the area where the candidate and/or his/her family normally resides.
Administrator / Secretary to Adminstrator / Development Officer (Lakshadweep Islands)

Eligibility

Candidates who have completed their II PUC / 12th Standard in 2013 and those who are expecting to complete their II PUC / 12th Standard in 2014 are eligible to apply to the courses at the institute . The candidates must have studied Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as main subjects during their II PUC / 12th Standard.

Candidates who have studied Biology, Statistics, Electronics, Computer Science, etc., in addition to Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics are also eligible to apply ot the bcourses at the institute . The candidates must have secured a first class or 60% or equivalent grade (relaxed to pass class for SC/ST candidates) in the II PUC / 12th Standard examination.

KVPY-SB [appeared in 2013, and selected for the Fellowship]
KVPY-SX [appeared in 2013, and selected for the Fellowship]
KVPY Fellows selected through the Empowerment Initiative for SC/ST candidates

IIT-JEE-Main: Appearing in 2014 and securing a minimum of 60% (GN), 54% (OBC-NCL), 30% (SC/ST/PH).

IIT-JEE-Advanced: Appearing in 2014 and securing a minimum of 60% (GN), 54% (OBC-NCL), 30% (SC/ST/PH).

AIPMT: Appearing in 2014 and securing a minimum of 60% (GN), 54% (OBC-NCL), 30% (SC/ST/PH).

Important Dates
Commencement of submission of online applications: 03.02.2014
Last date for submission of online applications: 30.04.2014
