The IIT BHU is invites candidates for 4 year engineering program. its has a computer science department. The Department of Computer Science and Engineering was established in July 1983.

The department offers following programmes:
4-Years B.Tech programme in Computer Sc. & Engineering
5 Years Integrated Dual Degree (B.Tech. and M.Tech.) programme in Computer Sc. & Engineering and
Ph.D. degree in various specializations of Computer Sc. and Engineering
