The Indian Institute of Technology Bombay (IITB or IIT Bombay) is a public engineering and research institution located in Powai, Mumbai.

Eligibility for Admission

M.Tech. Program

Final selection for Admission will be based on GATE percentile and the performance in the interview to be conducted at the Institute.

Candidates with a B.E. / B.Tech. / B.Sc.(Engg.) degree or equivalent in Mechanical, Chemical, Civil, Electrical or Metallurgical branches and a high GATE score are eligible to apply for Corrosion Science and Engineering.

In addition, candidates who have passed the CSIR/NET are also eligible, provided.

a) the above examinations are recognized as equivalent to B.E./B.Tech. Degree.

b) candidates MUST have obtained a FIRST CLASS in the above examinations .

c) the candidates have a minimum of two years professional experience after passing the final examinations.

d) candidates have a valid GATE score.

Foreign nationals possessing qualifying degree from an Indian University will have to qualify through GATE for being considered for admission.

Ph.D. Programme

M.Tech./M.E. in any above discipline or M.Sc. (Chemistry) with a good academic record.
